This delightful design captures the essence of Elizabethan style. At that time they loved flowers, of courses, but also what we might today call 'critters'. Bugs, caterpillars and butterflies were favorites and appeared in many forms. Worked as a nine tile piece the embroidery calls the eye to explore everything depicted. As individual tile designs the embroideries are invaluable for use in coasters, cards and other square finishing items. Stitch count for the whole design in 137 sts square and for the individual tiles with a border is 49 sts square.
