Designer I have been designing and working embroideries for as long as I can remember. Counted thread work in just about any form – Cross stitch, Blackwork, Hardanger, Assisi, Pulled work, Drawn Thread and many others are a specialty but every form of needlework is of vital interest to me. We formerly published a magazine called ‘New Stitches’, but this ended with issue 261 after about 25 years! We are based near Folkestone in England. The Channel Tunnel is less than one mile away from us but we neither see it nor hear the traffic very often. We do see the Kentish countryside, the English Channel and the coast of France on a good day. On a bad day of fog we see to the end of our garden and no further; fortunately these are few and far between. I have a husband, two grown up children and two lovely grandchildren.
