ABOUT THE ARTIST: Debbie Patrick has been designing cross-stitch since 1975. A graduate of U.C. Santa Barbara, she designs in various other media including watercolor, pastel, silkscreen and needlepoint. In 1978, she and her husband opened the Victorian Shoppe on Pier 39 in San Francisco. Although her early works concentrated on drawings and cross-stitch of Northern California Victorians, Debbie is continually adding new designs of Victorian homes and Victoriana throughout the U.S. DESIGN NO. 28 - Pierce St., San Francisco HISTORY: This especially ornate Queen Anne tower house was built in 1894 by A. J. Barnett for William McCormick. The house is located one block from San Francisco's historic Alamo Square. DESIGN DIMENSIONS: 78 W x 125 H FABRIC CLOTH SIZE: 11 count: 13" x 17" 14 count: 12" x 15" 18 count: 10" x 13" DESIGN NO. 27 - Oak St., San Francisco HISTORY: This Queen Anne tower house was built around 1886 and displays imaginative gingerbread detail including garlands and wreaths in the window panels. DESIGN DIMENSIONS: 80 W x 120 H FABRIC CLOTH SIZE: 11 count: 13" x 17" 14 count: 12" x 15" 18 count: 10" x 13" DESIGN NO. 30 - The Pink Lady, Eureka, CA. San Francisco HISTORY: Designed by Samuel and Joseph Newsome for J. Milton Carson, the son of lumber magnate William Carson, this is a splendid example of a Queen Anne tower house with an onion dome tower. (1887) DESIGN DIMENSIONS: 98 W x 120 H FABRIC CLOTH SIZE: 11 count: 13" x 17" 14 count: 12" x 15" 18 count: 10" x 13" DESIGN NO. 29 - Broadway St., San Francisco HISTORY: This elaborate Queen Anne and Stick Victorian style was built in 1887 for D.E. Allison and was located near the corner of Webster and Fillmore streets. Black walnut was used extensively through the interior of the house, with the black walnut fireplace mantle as the centerpiece.
