Both linen and evenweave are fabrics well suited for this design. 1/4 and 3/4 stitches appear in the design and are described to the right. These partial stitches make it possible to capture the elaborate features of this famous Eureka Victorian. Additionally, the backstitch outline and straight stitches create emphasis and even finer detail to the stitched picture. Special color effects in this design are achieved by mixing two colors in the needle. When two numbers are shown on the DMC Color key, use one strand of each color. Please read all General Directions and Special Stitch Instructions before starting. I had the best time creating this spectacular Victorian in stitches and hope you will, too!
