The special color effects in this design are achieved by blending 2 colors in the needle. The number of strands to use of each color is shown in ( ) on the DMC color key. 1/4 and 3/4 stitches are used throughout the design make it possible to capture the elaborate ornament of this very charming Stick Eastlake cottage, while the backstitch outline and straight stitches create emphasis and even finer detail to the stitched picture.
