Victorians Across America- Design No. 56 HISTORY: This Barber design cottage was built in 1891 by T.G. Henderson, a wealthy grocer and developer who was known as the "Rockefeller" of Lake City, Florida. The house was based on "Design No. 56" in Barber's Cottage Souveneir No. 2 (1890-91) and was one of several "artistic cottage residences" promoted in the book.
