Embellished with sparkly beads and metallic threads, this shimmery seahorse is a real show-stopper! This breath-takingly gorgeous seahorse is a bold and stylised creation that would add an artistic flourish to any room. Surrounded by striking swirls and glittering turquoise seed beads, the intricate stitching pops so beautifully against the pale blue backdrop. Just looking at this design is making out fingers itch to start stitching it! We love how the lustrous beading, metallic threads and strong colour palette all combine to create a wonderful sense of the exotic. And, to add an extra level of detail to every cross stitch, try stitching on 28-count evenweave, in a subtle hand-dyed blue for an instant underwater feel. This piece has all the makings of an exciting stitchy challenge - and the thought of the dazzling end result will definitely keep you motivated as you stitch! We think the finished design would be a wonderful adornment for your home or a special gift for a loved one. Plus, check out our tutorial for making a hanging on page 41.
