One of the nine bridges crossing the River Severn at Shrewsbury, this one leading to Wales. It was built around 1262 and would be demolished the year after this painting was made. Its replacement, under construction, can be seen through one of the arches. (1794) Stitch count 419 wide x 344 long 16-count or higher fabric recommended, or stitch over 2 on 32-count or higher fabric.
