This project, published by Victoria Moorshead in Embroidery Canada Volume 53 #2 in Spring 2026, is her charting of 16th century woodcuts created by Federico di Vinciolo. She published one of the four in the Spring 2023 (Vol 50 #2), and decided to turn all four into a bellpull project. All four designs were edited to be 75 stitches wide and 73 tall, in order to make a uniform design. Her stitched final project was done on 32 count Belfast linen in vintage country mocha from Zweigart, which was chosen due to the uneven fabric threads giving it a more authentic/aged look. She used DMC 310 for her project, but notes you could use a combination of 310 and 3866 to more accurately copy the look of old ink on parchment. She guesstimates you would need 8.2 skeins of thread for this project (she used part of The Cone for it).
