There is something wonderful about having a meal out in the open air! With Durene Jones' exotic floral placemats, you can enjoy alfresco dining in tropical style. Durene’s four beautiful exotic flower motifs have been created to embellish individual placemats, acting as a cross-stitched pocket to keep your cutlery safe and sound. The placemats are easy to roll up and pop into your picnic bag! These vibrant placemats are easy to make with a sewing machine, especially when you follow our simple step-by-step guide below. All you need is some brightly coloured fabric, matching ribbon and your crafty, creative self. We’ve finished each of our floral placemats in a different colour so that each person can easily spot their own. However, you can always make a matching set if you’d prefer. Top tip: These floral motifs can be used for other cross stitch creations too. They make wonderful greeting cards for all occasions! These floral placemats were created by Durene Jones and were originally published in The World of Cross Stitching magazine issue 295.
