Intertwine delicate daisies and fresh-scented lavender to make the prettiest floral garland, framed by a beautiful lace border. Nature-observer, philosopher and author Henry David Thoreau once wrote, "All good things are wild and free", and we think this dreamy wreath really sums up his words. While a bouquet of expensive blooms can be lovely to receive, sometimes a wilder, simpler beauty can delight just as much, if not more. Featuring delicate daisies and sprigs of lavender, this beautifully understated design has a rustic feel, reminiscent of French country charm. Worked in whole cross stitches, with a minimal amount of backstitch, you'll be able to whip up this dainty hanging in hardly any time at all! If you've never stitched on evenweave before, this project will be a lovely introduction to the fabric. Simply grid out your evenweave before you begin, marking 10x10 squares in tacking stitches on your fabric - counting will be much easier! Stitch this design to display in your home, and follow our simple making-up instructions (p43) for mounting it in a hoop with a lacy trim.
