Be sure never to miss another birthday or anniversary again with this clever cross stitched calendar! Have you ever turned the page of your calendar and realised there's a birthday you've completely forgotten about? (We're sure it's not just us!) Or maybe you fill out your calendar each year with every good intention to keep on top of it, but it gets ignored shortly after the start of January. This family organiser is the perfect solution, as you simply stitch each important date onto a plastic canvas token, along with the person's name, then hook them onto the corresponding month. Its folksy, homespun feel will look lovely in any room, and best of all, it's a perpetual calendar so just add more tokens when there are new occasions to celebrate. Stitch tokens in different colours for males or females like Fiona's done, or for different sides of the family. The heart is tailor-made for anniversaries, too. Surprisingly simple to make, as well as stylish and useful - that's how we like our stitching! Stitching Time: Approx. 35 hours for main design, 2 hours per token Type of Stitches: Cross stitch, backstitch Ease of Stitching: Advanced beginner/intermediate Shopping List: - Zweigart 14-count beige (3130) aida measuring 30x60cm (11-3/4" x 23-1/2") - 14-count plastic canvas measuring 6x6cm (2-1/4" x 2-1/4") per token - Stranded cotton as listed in the key - Size 24 tapestry needle - Frame of your choice with a minimum aperture of 22x51cm (8-1/2" x 20") - Screw-in hooks (cuphooks) and gold-effect jump rings, 7mm, from local stores - Jewellery-making pliers to open jump rings.
