DCVH 1785: A Dutch Red House Sampler

This sampler is based on an original sampler in my collection stitched by an unknown girl, most likely from Amsterdam. She worked a happy mix of animals, plants, and a beautiful red house on her sampler. When I started charting this sampler I noticed just how irregular the stitching was – and that our stitcher’s creative solutions would be very hard to replicate. So I took the design elements as well as I possibly could and adapted them slightly where I needed to.
