Coastal Wildflowers

This embroidery was designed from my original watercolour painting titled 'Wildflowers of Coastal Southern Australia'. The painting was published and widely distributed as a poster by the Botanic Gardens of Australia. The wildflowers were collected over a few years from many areas of the coast and painted individually before I attempted to put them together into the painting. The watercolour painting took about four months to complete. The cross-stitch embroidery took about nine months to design and embroider.
