Centuries ago, it was prescribed by doctors to go to the beach as they considered the seaside air to contain restorative, healing properties. Whether it's for the mind, body, or the soul, the beach provides a gentle opportunity to relax and show an appreciation for the waters. This card set is an ode to the coast. Each of the four square card designs contain unstitched areas for the ice blue aida to show through, adding depth and dimension to the scene. The set uses mostly whole stitches and backstitch, with a few fractionals for details in the puffin's eyes and the dog's head. Patched on white single-fold cards for a simple finish, you can also use a complementary colour, or turn into souvenirs as a reminder of your holiday away. Stitched by Debbie Hart
