Victorians Across America- Design No. 84 HISTORY: Capt. John Brinkerhoff, owner of the Hudson River steamer Mary Powell, built this home on Hamilton St. in the 1880's. He incorporated steamboat elements into the house, including encircling decks, paddle-wheel motifs in the lower railings and a captain's bridge. MODEL INFORMATION: The model was stitched on 14-count white Aida using two strands floss for all cross-stitches and one strand floss for all backstitches.
