Take a trip to the beach and stitch up some summery vibes with this feel-good design! When we look at this beautiful design, we can't help but feel the sun on our skin and taste the salt in the air! Perfectly evoking the whimsical charm of a seaside village, the striking typography is beautifully set off by the array of beach huts in all shapes and colours. It's an ideal project to take outdoors for some al fresco stitching, we think. We love how the softly shaded palette, with a few pops of red, creates a sun-bleached feel. Plus, the quirky little details, from the colourful bunting to the seagull perched atop one of the huts, will be such fun to recreate in stitches! You'll use plenty of shading to add interest and variety to this piece, and although there are lots of fractionals, it's not densely stitched - so you'll be able to make progress quickly. Once you've finished, make it into a canvas (check out our handy tutorial over on page 79), and display it with pride in your home! Stitching Time: Approx. 40 hours Type of Stitches: Cross stitch, fractionals, backstitch Ease of Stitching: Advanced beginner/intermediate Shopping List: - Zweigart 14-count white aida measuring 38x32cm (15" x 12-1/2") - Stranded cotton as listed in the key - Size 24 tapestry needle - Stretched canvas of your choice measuring 25x20cm (10x8") from local stores
